We went above and beyond because we had a bigger roof than what was included in the deal plus the gutters. They did exactly what I want them to do and I think they have a fair price, I could have got somebody else in the street but that would be no guarantee and if there was an accident or something I’ll be liable for that so I think getting a professional to do it was exactly what I needed. It is expensive but fair. “My husband and I decided to put a metal roof on our home and solicited quotes from three local contractors who were backed by the bbb and came with reputable reviews. We have two fairly low sloped areas and the first and second contractor we got bids from excluded metal in these areas and were going to instead lay down ibs. When we got a quote from Northern Pacific Exteriors we were thrilled when they suggested metal on our low slope areas and gave us a price that beat the other two. And they were the only company who offered 15 year workmanship warranty. So far as I was finding the norm is 10 year workmanship. Everyone in the Northern Pacific office was friendly and kept up posted as our work order date came closer. When work commenced on our roof the crew was friendly and efficient in their task. Unfortunately they stumbled upon a few hiccups once they completely tore off the old shingles. The first hiccup was unavoidable and almost suspected from what my husband and I already knew about the house. The entire roof needed to be re-sheeted, most of it was not even sheeted to begin with, gotta love old houses. That was a slightly unexpected addition to our overall bill but Northern Pacific was kind enough to work with us in making payments for the additional cost. The second hiccup was not such an easy fix. Once the crew got the metal placed in the larger of the low sloped areas it was discovered that the slope was indeed not enough for water runoff and would cause more damage in the long run. The company had two options at this point. They could tear off the metal and replace it with an ibs or they could build up the slope with new rafters and re-sheet so the slope would be ideal for the metal that was promised us in our contract. They choose the second option. The company did good by us and went the extra miles to fix our low slope roof and edit the fascia change that came with the fix. They went above and beyond to uphold their promises made to us in our contract. I would highly recommend Northern Pacific Exterior as they showed true pride in their craftsmanship and provided us with a roof we are proud to have.”

“NPE provided a completely new roof with an extended 50 year material / 25 year labor warranty along with some free extras thrown into the deal. NPE was punctual, communicative and generous in their dealings as we negotiated the materials and timing of our new roof. Their roofing contractors did a fantastic job and were done faster than expected. They made sure to clean up the work area every day and cover any exposed plants. Initially we signed up for the Angie’s List Big Deal that was offered in May/June. As NPE had a large set of responses to the Big Deal, they required a $50 deposit to come out to do the estimate. This amount was credited toward the cost of the roof once we decided to move forward. We met with Kasim, the owner, who handled the initial inspection and estimate. He provided a very simple written estimate that included all the fees and provided breakdowns of multiple options including cost differentials for different material grades, skylight replacement, high-profile ridge caps, metal valleys, etc… I had specifically requested a new ridge-cap vent be installed which added minimally to the cost. We also requested new inert-gas skylights. Kasim patiently explained all the options including the warranty options. We selected a higher quality shingle than the one provided for in the Big Deal as well as some additional options. Our roof was also somewhat larger than that provided by the Big Deal terms so our cost ended up about 75% higher than the Big Deal cost. Comparatively without the Big Deal discount and the additional free options included by Kasim, the roof would probably have cost in excess of $20K.Kasim included synthetic underlayment and the high-profile ridge caps at no cost. Once we had a signed deal, the office staff called us weekly with updates on the schedule. They were able to get us in about 4 weeks after the initial signing which we felt was pretty fast considering the weather was perfect during that whole period. The roofers were punctual on the first day, arriving at about 9:30am and they got immediately to work. The office staff called us each day to check on our impressions of the work done throughout each day and make sure we were satisfied. Kasim had estimated the job would take 3 days but the crew was able to complete 99% of the work in 2 days but had run out of the ridge cap shingles so couldn’t complete the final few pieces. The crew worked late to complete as much of the project on day 2 as possible. This work was completed within two days once the required shingles were back in stock. Once the roof was in place, the crew did a great job cleaning up and answered all my questions. We then coordinated with the office staff to do a final installation inspection and submit payment. This went smoothly and the new roof looks great! My goal was to never have to think about the roof ever again and barring a major disaster, I think we achieved this! Our Homeowner’s Association will be checking with NPE about additional work in our neighborhood (townhome roofing).”

“The owner Kasim Shake communicated extremely well with us. He came out and measured our roof to make sure of exactly what we needed. He suggested a couple of things that we could do differently that we went ahead with so it increased our cost which we had no problem with. We negotiated with the company on getting a dumpster put in our driveway which saved us some money since we applied for it instead of them having to. A few weeks later, there was a crew at our house, tearing our old roof off (all the old shingles, etc) on one day and installing the new roof the next. We are very happy with our roof and happy with Kasim!”

“Northern Pacific Exteriors Mark Waggoner helped us through the process of making decisions. We reviewed with project manager Dave about concerns and any adjustments to be made. I got a total of 3 bids and we made our decision based on Mark being so helpful laying out the costs and details. The crew worked hard to get the project done as soon as possible. They cleaned up at the end of every work day and at the end of the project. We appreciated Ben the site supervisor and the other work staff. Michelle from NW Pac called everyday to touch base and make sure we didn’t have any questions or concerns. The project went for about 3 weeks plus. Mark Waggoner, one of the owners visited often checking on the project and also his partmer Kasim Shake. They strive to deliver guality. My Husband and I have done quite a few projects on our 100 yr old house and nothing is 100 % perfect. The devil is in the details. We are satisifed and glad we did the siding. The only advice I would give is if you need painting done research your house in regards to lead paint removal. We would use Northern Pacific again.”

There was no hard sell, we were given an outstandingly competitive bid to replace our old warped and leaky composite roof with the quality metal roof we had always wanted. The price they quoted and honored (despite a bit of extra work), was actually less than traditional shingle roof estimates we had received from others! They called us to confirm the installation date, and explained the steps along the way, so I always knew what was going to happen. During the job, I was called every night to ask how that day had gone. Marvelous! I am in the customer service business, and I was blown away by the way they did business with me. Professional, friendly, concerned and honest. I wish everyone I knew needed a roof done, I would talk myself silly urging my friends to call them. “We called and Mark showed up on time and explained in detail everything his company can do for us. We liked his bid and so called and made another appointment to sign a contract. Date was set and they arrived as advertised on time. Workers had their own porta potty and dumpster so minimal disturbance with client other than install noise. The workers took their time and did a wonderful job the house looks like a new house and we have gotten numerous compliments already. During the work all questions were answered and the workers were very friendly and professional. After the work was finished they did a great job cleaning up and making sure there were no nails left behind. An inspection was made first with the workers then Mark returned and did his final inspection and signing for financing. Marks recommendations to go with color plus and the constant updates from this company made us believe this is a fantastic company that cared about their clients. “From the very beginning, the experience could not have gone better. The first contact was made by Michelle within hours of the purchase (and outside of what we would consider normal business hours). Kasim was at the house within a few days and arrived completely prepared with satellite photos and all the dimensions drawn out to make it all very clear to us. We weren’t in dire straits re: the roof and had chosen a date in August for the work to begin (approximately five weeks from the purchase date). We received weekly updates re: the roofing order and when they expected to have it all ready. Like clockwork, NPE was here on the date agreed upon and started working bright and early. We were told that the job would take approximately three days. Of course, the week they began work was the hottest week of the summer and we are situated with absolutely no shade on the house until very late in the day. It didn’t slow them down. The work was completed on time and the dumpster was removed as promised. They kept a very clean worksite, cleaning after themselves each day. They used a magnet around the house to be sure to not leave any nails (or staples from the prior roofing). Theirs is the kind of customer service that all companies should offer! We only wish they did other types of interior home repairs/remodels. We will absolutely call them again for the siding and fence projects that are upcoming!!!
